Expat hiring documents in the UAE

Recently an expat asked me what is the process of getting hired in the UAE. As we are expanding, this is a topic that is important not just for HR Cloud Me, but also our clients.

Each HR department has different practices (workflows) but in general they will follow the process shown below:
They will contact you when they are ready to put in your visa application, with a list of documents that they require. This will typically include:

  • photocopy of your passport
  • an attested college degree certificates
  • and multiple passport photos (up to eight)
They will also require some personal information such:
  • name of your parents that will go on the visa application form
  • if you are married, notarized proof from your home country
  • if you have children, notarized their birth certificates from your home country
